Crème 1.3 released on April 5 with ♥ Bookmarks, better performance

Perhaps you noticed that Crème update, version 1.3, became available in the App Store on April 5. If you don’t have Crème yet, get it here.

Here is the change log once again.

  • FEATURE: ♥ Bookmarks. Part of our “NYC Subway Mode,” that is, making Crème more useful for offline reading. Bookmarks are simply tweets that you mark for later reading, and that will appear in your Crème view. You can bookmark/unbookmark any tweet and it works well when offline.
  • FEATURE: when looking at “Retweets of me” view, you will now see who has retweeted you. Previously, it just showed tweets that had been retweeted, but not the people.
  • CHANGE: massive, massive, MASSIVE improvement in app startup time. There is no “Starting…” prompt any more, as the startup happens instantly, even if you have added many pages.
  • CHANGE: big performance upgrade when moving between pages in Crème. Faster response, less stuttering.
  • CHANGE: tweets from @cremeapp are added to all new users’ home timeline, so they could learn what’s up with Crème. They can delete it if they like.
  • BUGFIX: the selection highlight color when switching to a different account is now more Crème-esque, instead of default blue.
  • BUGFIX: adding several lists created by the same user did not work correctly.
  • BUGFIX: improved “Follow”/”Unfollow”/”Add to Crème” UI, buttons no longer jump around.
  • BUGFIX: the long-standing “show invalid image of person in list until scrolling stops/no network.” People in lists now have a default image that’s shown until the real picture is available, no longer showing pictures of another person.
  • BUGFIX: character entity decoding didn’t work as well as it should, you could sometimes see strange character codes instead of real characters.
  • BUGFIX: escaping line breaks in home view to condense multiline tweets into one is better, was broken in some rare cases.
